Joints are crucial to our body, but since they move a lot, they also take the most damage throughout the years. Wear and tear of cartilage around our joints will lead to pain, inflammation and even paralysis. Eventually, it'll lead to chronic degenerative arthritis.

If you think there is no need to take care of our joints while we're young, then you'll only grow old to regret. Although we can choose to eat whatever we want at this age, remember to keep these foods in our diets to care for our joints and cartilage:

To preserve joint functions, it's best to prevent any inflammation as that will destroy our collagen and cartilage. Beans have good anti-inflammatory effects. It is rich in protein which makes up most of our collagen. Besides that, beans contain legumes which contain amino acids that help with cartilage restoration.

To form collagen in the cartilage, we also need plenty of Vitamin C. Vitamin helps improve cartilage restoration as well as cell regeneration in general. Not only that, it also has protective effects too!

Green Tea

The catechin and polyphenol compounds in green tea are helpful for cartilage regeneration and relieve chronic degenerative arthritis symptoms. Besides, like citrus, it also has protective effects.

For our body to absorb more hyaluronic acid, it needs more iron and magnesium. These components can in turn be obtained from nuts. However, keep in mind that nuts are high calorie foods and should be taken in moderation.

Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts contain a ton of Vitamin K, which is an important nutrient when it comes to the health of our bones and joints. While preparing, consider cooking with olive oil to get maximum benefits.

These foods are easy to find and not hard to integrate within our diets. Just having a little bit of each everyday could work wonders for our joints. Remember, if you wait until later, it's already too late!
